TOP TIPS TO LEARN TO BECOMING FLUENT IN ENGLISH

1) Speak without fear: One of the most difficult for English learners is speak without fear or makes mistakes during a dialogue. The fastest way to learn is trying is doing that, isn't it? In order to get fluency requires practice. Have you hear about an old saying..."practice makes perfec." Keep studying, keep practicing. 

Use all of your resources

Even you have attended a private course it doesn't mean you can't learn outside your private course. There are a lot of powerful English content, application available for free in order to install on your Iphone, tablet, Computer, notebook and so on. Don't limit yourself to only one or two. Internet is really fantastic, just research and you will find out a lot of useful websites and blogs with English contents. 

Study as often as possible

Set the goals and keep focus to learn a real English, study as often as possible, there is no limit for those intend to becoming fluent. Nothing is easy or difficult, however you should to practice, practice and practice, otherwise is almost impossible to get there. 

Record yourself

Use your mobile phone and record yourself after that compare your pronounciation from time to time. You are going to be impressed with your improvements and progress. I already have done yet, that's why I recommend you do the same. 

Finally, everyday is an opportunity to learn we have a world at home known as INTERNET. That's all for today. Have fun.

Todo mundo gosta de falar sobre o tempo. Você pode abordar este assunto com expressões como:

• Que tempo maravilhoso!

DICA / TIP
Os adjetivos em inglês não mudam. A mesma palavra é usada para masculino, feminino, singular e plural. Por exemplo:

Um dia quente – a hot day
Dias quentes – hot days
Uma tarde ensolarada – a sunny afternoon
Tardes ensolaradas – sunny afternoons

Note que o adjetivo normalmente vem antes do substantivo. Por exemplo:

Tempo – weather – substantivo
Maravilhoso – wonderful – adjetivo
Tempo maravilhoso – wonderful weather

Outros exemplos:

Um carro preto – a black car
Casas grandes – big houses
Mulheres americanas – American women

DICAS DE INGLÊS TECLASAP: COMO DIGO AMIGO SECRETO EM INGÊS?

O Natal ainda está longe, mas recebi um e-mail de um leitor querendo saber como se chama a festa de “amigo secreto” em inglês. Como na Inglaterra não temos esse costume e não faz parte de nossa cultura, desconheço expressão equivalente. Se alguém quisesse introduzir essa tão simpática brincadeira por lá, teria que chamá-la de Secret Friend ou Mystery Friend (e ainda correr o risco de ser totalmente ignorado). Até aí, nada de grandes novidades.

O quadro muda de figura, porém, ao aterrissarmos nos Estados Unidos – pelo menos na Califórnia – e no Canadá. Lá chamam isso de Kriss Kringle ou Secret Santa. Secret Santa seria, possivelmente, a designação mais comum nas escolas ou escritórios. Kriss parece ser derivada de Christmas, eKringle de… caramba! Sabe que não faço a menor ideia? (mas que parece nome de salgadinho, parece).

Continuando, Santa é de Santa Claus, AKA (also known as = também conhecido como) Father Christmas.

Bem, acabei de ter uma crise de consciência por não ter dado uma explicação melhor a respeito deKriss Kringle. Vou deixar de ser preguiçoso e procurar no meu dicionário — afinal tantos dicionários servem para quê? E veja só o que encontrei:

Kriss Kringle – Alteração do dialetal alemão Christkindl – Presente de Natal. Quem diria? Nem imaginei que ia aprender algo assim em plena tarde de sábado… E tem mais! Kriss Kringle é The Christ child também.

Bom, agora vamos a alguns exemplos de possíveis diálogos para consolidarmos a novidade.

• Who’s your Secret Santa this year?
• Preciso traduzir? (Ué, por que não?). Quem é seu amigo secreto este ano?

Outro bom exemplo:

• What did you get for your Kriss Kringle?
• O que você comprou para seu amigo secreto / amigo oculto?
• I bought Michael Jacobs’ latest books “Tirando Dúvidas de Inglês” and “Como Melhorar Ainda Mais seu Inglês“.
• Comprei os últimos livros de Michael Jacobs: “Tirando dúvidas de inglês” e “Como melhorar ainda mais seu inglês”.
• Great choice! Everyone should buy one or two copies, or even more.
• Ótima escolha! Todos deveriam comprar pelo menos um ou dois exemplares – ou até mais.

Quanto ao fato de os ingleses não compartilharem conosco desta tradição tão pitoresca, só posso sugerir que eles o façam o mais rápido possível e, aproveitando a “deixa”, usem as expressões que os norte-americanos já adotaram. Mas, cá pra nós, conhecendo os meus patrícios, tenho cá minhas dúvidas…
